At 5 pm, the guests would then walk down a pathway made of both stacked barrels and two 15 foot high distressed wooden walls. The tent opening was finished off with large curtains tied back and fresh lemon leaf garland that swaged across the entrance. The tent was breathtaking! The top had two tiers that were reminiscent of a circus tent and a sheer white fabric draped the entire ceiling. There were a total of 15 chandeliers hanging down as well as uplighting and pin spot lighting under the ceiling fabric. The tables were a mix of long wooden farm house tables(some were so long that they seated over 30 guests) and ten top round tables that were mixed in as well. The farm tables were finished with burlap runners, white distressed wooden box floral centerpieces and dozens of both clear hobnail and mercury glass votives. The round tables were topped with hand made, one of a kind champagne satin rosette table drapes. They had a set of three different sized clear hobnail mason jars filled with flowers with mercury glass votives around. The two large ceremony centerpieces were placed on the head table which was a 30 foot long farm table that had five smaller accent chandeliers hanging above it. The backdrop to the head table was a massive rustic wooden barn wall complete with hanging wood framed mirrors that expanded across the entire tent measuring about 60 feet. The food was a delicious buffet from scooters in Lodi as well as a passed desert of peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream from Phillips farms where the bride Megan works. The small and large extra details (such as flip flops for guests to dance) were both adorable and abundant thanks to the bride who worked so hard on everything to make it perfect! The wedding was filled with family songs and traditions galore and the DJ played many great songs as the guests danced the night away. Congratulations to the new Jake and Megan Van Ruiten!
Here are a few photos that I got from guests and photos of the flowers are courtesy of Jen Howell with newVintage photography. I will update the photos soon when I receive them from the couples photographer. Enjoy!
